MILK PANELS

MILK PANELS Components:

Regarding the Crust:

1/2 cup of crumbs from graham crackers 1/4 cup of sugar, granulated Half a cup of melted unsalted butter

Regarding the Filling:

One can of sweetened condensed milk (14 ounces) one cup of whole milk Two big eggs One teaspoon vanilla extract Two tablespoons cornstarch Regarding the Optional Topping: Sugar in powder form (for dusting) ripe fruit or berries (for garnish) Guidelines:

Get the crust ready:

Set the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C). Melted butter, granulated sugar, and graham cracker crumbs should all be combined in a medium basin. Mix until the mixture resembles wet sand and the crumbs are coated evenly. Evenly press the crumb mixture into the bottom of an 8 x 8-inch or comparable sized parchment paper-lined baking dish. Firmly pack it down with the back of a spoon. After baking for ten minutes, take it out of the oven and allow it to cool somewhat.

Get the Filling Ready:

Combine whole milk, cornstarch, and sweetened condensed milk in a medium-sized saucepan. Stirring continually, cook over medium heat until the mixture begins to thicken and simmers. After the mixture thickens, turn off the heat and whisk in the eggs and vanilla essence. Stirring constantly, make sure everything is well integrated.

Put Together and Bake:

Over the half baked graham cracker crust, pour the milk filling. Put the dish back in the oven and bake it for another 20 to 25 minutes, or until the top is gently browned and the filling is set. Take it out of the oven and allow it to cool fully in the dish. Cooling will cause the filling to solidify even more.

Cool and Present:

The milk panels should be cold and solid for at least two hours after they have cooled. If preferred, sprinkle powdered sugar over the top before serving, and top with fresh fruit or berries.

Slice and Savor:

Cut the milk panels into squares or bars using a sharp knife. Present cold.

Advice:

Taste Variations: For a zesty twist, incorporate some orange or lemon zest into the filling. Prepare Ahead: You can prepare these milk panels in advance and keep them in the fridge for a few days. If you would like to prepare them ahead of time, they freeze well as well.

These Milk Panels are a delicious, creamy confection that would go well with any dessert spread. Have fun!
