It might be annoying to have age spots, those tiny black spots that appear on your skin without warning. However, what if the answer lies in your kitchen rather than in a pricey cream? That’s precisely how I used regular baking soda to organically fade and brighten my skin. Safe, reasonably priced, and shockingly powerful!
Why Baking Soda Works:
Gentle exfoliation: It removes dead skin cells that make dark spots look worse.
Brightening effect: Helps even out skin tone with consistent use.
Balances skin pH: Which supports healthy, clear skin.
Note: Baking soda doesn’t bleach the skin—it helps renew it naturally.
Baking Soda Spot Treatment (2–3 times per week)
Ingredients:
1 teaspoon baking soda
A few drops of water (or lemon juice for extra brightening, if your skin tolerates it)
Instructions:
Mix baking soda with water to make a smooth paste.
Apply directly to clean skin where you see age spots.
Gently massage in circular motions for 1 minute.
Leave it on for 5 more minutes.
Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry.
Apply a gentle moisturizer or aloe vera afterward.
What I Noticed:
Spots became lighter week by week
Skin felt smoother and brighter
Natural, gradual improvement—no irritation or peeling
Bonus: My skin looked fresher overall!
Crucial Advice:
Always perform a patch test initially, particularly if your skin is sensitive.
Avoid overusing; two to three times per week is plenty.
To safeguard your development, always apply sunscreen during the day and hydrate afterward!
